Quamo's Posterizer site Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Posterizer has movie poster textures for about any action movie you could think of. I added a link in the links section. Or click here.

Back Alley and Max Payne textures Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Back Alley by Dr Cohen is up.

Back Alley:

This is a medium-sized map. It's dimly lit and has low r_speeds (even in the beautiful church), so this is a good NV map for those who like it. It uses few custom textures but still looks quite good. Somehow it reminds me of Max Payne slightly.

I received pl_mptex.zip from PublicLag today, he's converted and assembled a number of the Max Payne textures and made a .wad out of them. Check it out in the map resources section.

ahl_colmcorp released Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
ColmCorp by Colm McSky is up. It's a map of a workplace, with a main cubical area, adjoining rooms, and a main hall. Slightly Matrix-inspired maybe.

And being by Colm, you can be sure that there are grunts place throughout for a singleplayer experience.

Wow, two new maps Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Streets by Spydre and Cityscape by MadElf are now up. Both are quality city maps.

Streets:

This map has some amazing texturework.

Cityscape:

This is a big but not huge map. It's fairly dark and has a lot of interesting spots.

Both are in the map archive.

And please send in those reviews or I will let Breakit out of his cage.

Huh? Wha? Where am I? Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Alice
Why am I tied to this chair? I remember walking home and going through that dark alley but... who brought me here and why? I'm scared. Hold me. Tighter. What's this before me, a note? "hay d00d j00 wil uplode m4p revous or bre4k w1ll m@d pwn j00r ass ;> luv Hoondo" Oh. I see. Help me. Please. Send in map reviews or I'll be molested by a nine year old. Help. Please. Send. Now. Help. Now. Please.

Someone new on staff Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Alice will now be taking the reviews instead of me. This change will be invisible to anyone submitting a review, but I thought I'd announce it.

Updates Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Three reviews up: Actcity, City, and Cornershop

New map: Rumble in the Bronx.

It's quite a nice map, fairly large and atmospheric. Check it out.

I'm not dead. Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
I think I might be better. So give me a day and I'll get all the reviews and deal with the maps.

By the way, BBCity2 is up, Bait mentioned it and I realized I needed it.

Fix me. Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
I seem to be sort of ill, so I won't do anything on the site or reply to any mail for a few days.

New map: Tokyo, also a review of Endless Rain posted Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Marius Gehrke sent in Tokyo, a remake of the AQ2 classic. It looks great and holds true to the original. However it gets an obligatory SPEED flag because the r_speeds reach 1300 in the corners.

Next, a good thorough review of Endless Rain was sent in. Maybe he doesn't like green? (I joke).

The scary thing is he makes reference in the review to a certain screenshot, when it's impossible to include any and there weren't any there before.. but that's exactly the one I picked out of those I had.

New map: Cornershop Saturday, December 15, 2001 - Hondo
Janne Koukkari sent in Corner Shop, a nice small map of a multi-floored building and some street outside. It gave me a quality AQ2 feeling, and it should be fun for 2-4 player games.

I also got a promise of many reviews from someone. Hopefully those pages will fill up soon.
