MAP SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

If you want to submit your map, please make sure you fit the following criteria.

- Your map is final, not a beta or test version. For these, post to the AHLMD forum. You'll get excellent feedback there. Many maps have gone in and come out shining.

- Your map is zipped and contains proper directory structure (see tutorial).

- A .loc file is included (see tutorial).

- A .res file is included (see tutorial).

- An .ini file is optional. It's nice, but won't really spoil anyhing if you're missing one. Refer to the AHL readme files regarding these.

- All content that the map uses is included in the .zip. This includes skies, sounds, .wads, sprites, and models, and whatever else a map might require. This ensures your map's longetivity because those files might not be there in the next release and this way you won't have to release a new version with the stuff included. Note that this does NOT apply to content that comes with standard Half-Life, since everyone will have that at any time.

That's pretty much all. Remember, don't send the file to me, upload it somewhere and link to it. My mailbox can't take much. Geocities is quick and free and you get 15mb.
