Engholm

Engholm is another very good looking map from banana, the creator of no less than 6 of the maps in beta 5!. The map looks quite small from above, but the heights and interiors of the buildings makes this a medium sized map. It is quite feasible to dive from one rooftop to the next, however a missed dive will have you flying to your death.

This map features lots of vertical fighting in and around two condemned buildings. Basically the map consists out of two large condemned buildings, separated by a street. One of the buildings has a backyard, and you can go anywhere in the buildings; the hallways, staircases and most importantly the roofs. There is also a large billboard on the roof that includes pictures of most of the European contributors of AHL.

This map will remind older Action Half-life players of the rooftops map. Engholm is home to many tactics also seen on rooftops, being able to follow in pursuit by diving is key. Expect to see lots of players fall to their doom after missing the roof on the other side. It is important to watch the skies as a falling body will kill you as fast as an HC. The best weapons are of course medium to long range weapons. And the hand cannon and shotgun are the weapons to have when you stay mostly inside the buildings. One last word of advice: if you want to master this map you will have to master the z-axis itself!
